Who we are
Lumen & Ink is Sam Arora. One thing carries the name today: Lumen Pages, a free WordPress plugin. A website subscription service previously ran under it; it is closed, nothing on this site is for sale, and there is no way to be charged. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and your rights over it. If you have any question, email hello@lumenandink.com.
What we collect
There is exactly one live way to give us personal information: the update list on the plugin page, which takes your email address and nothing else. No payment information is collected anywhere on this site — there is no checkout, no subscription signup and no payment processor connected to it. An earlier version of this policy named PayPal as the processor for the website subscription; that rail has been retired and no replacement has been connected, so no billing data reaches us at all. (See terms clause 3 — the subscription is not open.) Two earlier intakes are now closed: the free-sample brief (business name and description, town, email address, and an existing website URL if you pasted one) and the website grader (a website URL and an email address). Neither accepts submissions any more — the grader endpoint answers 410 Gone before it reads anything. Data collected through them before July 2026 is still held; email hello@lumenandink.com to have yours deleted. Separately, we run Google Analytics 4 on every page of this site, which collects your approximate location, device and browser, and the pages you view, and stores a random identifier for your browser in a cookie.
Why we use it
The email address on the update list is used for one thing: to tell you when a new version of Lumen Pages is released. It is used for nothing else, and no such email has been sent yet. Analytics are used to see which pages get read. Nothing on this site can be paid for, so we never process a payment. We do not sell your personal information, ever. For visitors in the UK, EU and similar regions, our lawful basis is your consent for the update list, and our legitimate interest in operating and measuring the site. Anything held from the retired brief and grader intakes is kept only so we can answer you or delete it on request.
Who we share it with
Google (Google Analytics 4, property G-NPYH3V2F7E), which processes analytics data in the United States; our hosting provider; and, when we send you a release email, our email-delivery provider. No payment processor is involved, because nothing on this site can be paid for. No advertising or remarketing network receives anything. Each provider handles data on our behalf under their own terms. We may disclose information if required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your address on the update list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Records left from the retired brief and grader intakes are kept only while there is a live conversation and for a reasonable period after. Google Analytics data is retained by Google under its own schedule. There are no billing records, because there has never been a payment. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below); we'll honour it unless we're legally required to retain something.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can opt out of non-essential emails at any time. To do any of these, email hello@lumenandink.com and we'll action it. If you're in the UK/EU you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics 4 sets a _ga cookie holding a random identifier for your browser; we run it with IP anonymisation enabled. That cookie is not needed for anything on this site to work — blocking it in your browser, or with any tracker blocker, changes nothing you can see. We run no advertising or remarketing tags of any kind.

Lumen Pages (the WordPress plugin)
The free Lumen Pages plugin you can download at lumenandink.com/plugin contains no network code: it makes no external requests, sends us nothing, and collects no analytics. It runs entirely on your own WordPress site. The only personal data connected to the plugin is the email address you may choose to give the update list on that page — we use it solely to email you when a new version is released, we do not sell or share it, and you can unsubscribe or ask us to delete it at any time by emailing hello@lumenandink.com. No payment processor is involved anywhere in the plugin, because the plugin is free and there is nothing to buy.
