Privacy Policy

Restoration Answers (restorationanswers.com) is operated by Sam Arora, sole proprietor, publishing under the Lumen & Ink studio name (“we”). We respect your privacy. This is a plain-English summary of what we do and don't collect.

What we collect

• Our tools collect nothing personal. The cost calculator, insurance estimator and triage checklist run entirely in your browser. The values you enter are not sent to us, stored, or sold.
• Standard server logs. Like every website, our server records basic request data (IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp) for security and reliability. These logs are not used to identify you. Server logs are deleted within about 15 days.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-CPG04711XX) with IP anonymization to understand aggregate traffic. Google sets cookies and receives page-view, device and truncated-IP data under its own privacy policy; you can block this with browser settings or Google's opt-out add-on. We also record an anonymous first-party event when an emergency button is tapped (event name and page path only — never the values you type into our tools).

Affiliate & referral disclosure

Some pages display a phone number to reach a local restoration professional. Calls to that number would reach one local company that pays for the slot — either a flat monthly sponsorship for that page’s exclusive call slot (never per call), or a licensed pay-per-call referral fee for qualified calls. You never pay us anything, and you're always free to call any company directly instead. We are a participant in referral/affiliate programs; where we link to products (e.g. prevention equipment), we may earn a commission. This disclosure is provided in accordance with FTC guidance.

If you call a listed restoration number: the call is handled by the sponsoring company or referral network, which sees your phone number, may record the call for billing and quality, and shares call details with the company that answers. We receive summary reporting about calls (time, duration, region) — never recordings.

Your choices & rights

We do not sell personal information. If you are a California (CCPA) or EU/UK (GDPR) resident, you have rights to access or request deletion of any personal data we may hold — though, as above, our tools are built specifically so we hold essentially none.
